This beach has sand dunes and is connected to The Gannel estuary. Also good for surfing, if you need to get across on foot you'll find a small ferry from the Fern Pit Cafe during the summer months.

The local beach all of our apartments are close to. Long golden sand facing the Atlantic with powerful waves. Pro competitions in the summer. Great for a walk along, especially the coastal path behind it where there are some great views.

Little Fistral is Fistral's little brother, a nice secluded beach down from some steps from the car park, great for walking dogs on and contains a little easy access covered cave. It's a very picturesque and charming little beach to visit.

Lusty Glaze is a private beach but is open to the public most of the time (except when ticketed events and weddings are on). Look out for events as they have numerous music shows and other night on during the summer.

This beach is tucked away in a narrow, deep cove between Kelsey Head and West Pentire. Park at The Bowgie Inn or in West Pentire to walk down to across the fields. This beach sometimes has sheep on the beach and seals, walk up towards Kelsey Head to look down on the cove with the seals. Note: This beach does not have RNLI lifeguards.

Tolcarne Beach is technically a private beach but is open to the public, down the steps from Narrowcliff.

Towan Beach is the beach in the town of Newquay containing the famous house on the Island with the bridge across. This beach is great for youngster because it is calmer water due to being more sheltered and contains plenty of rocky areas to explore.

A great place to watch the sun go down with a beer next to the beach on their terrace that overlooks the north side of Fistral beach. Make sure not to miss the Samba Terrace parties during the Spring/Summer. 

Restaurant at The Esplanade Hotel which is also open for visitors who are not guests at the hotel.

A nice restaurant and bar set into the cliffs on Pentire Headland, free parking right outside and the garden has a lovely view across the Atlantic with a glass barrier allowing kids to get a safe view down.

Bar which serves street food and breakfast. Has live music every Friday and Saturday as well as a Motorbike gear shop. Great place if you want a night out at the weekend.

Local pub that serves food and sits above Newquay Harbour. Usually has quiz night during the week and music on Friday and Saturday night from local bands.

Rosa bar and restaurant next to their miniture golf course. Menu has pizza, pasta dishes and more.

Set into the cliffs at South Fistral, just go down the steps to find a lovely coffee shop with great views. Great for a quick cooked breakfast in the mornings.

A bar on the beach looking out onto Newquay Harbour. There are also some little street food like stalls there with various options for food. Nice in the evening and sometimes has musicians during the summer months.

The Bowgie Inn is a pub in West Pentire. We recommend this because of the amazing views overlooking Crantock Beach and Pentire Headland from their garden, also a very nice area just to have a countryside walk after one of their ales.

Previously known as Rick Stein's, serving cold beers, fish and chips and burgers.

Bar and restaurant with reasonably priced food and the view from the garden is stunning across the harbour and into Newquay bay. Also has a small indoor play area and shows sports. Dog friendly too.

Catering to children as well as toddlers with a separated young childrens play area. Contains a zip line, swings and rope climbing frame.

Blue Reef Aquarium sits right on Towan Beach in the centre of Newquay, opposite the island, and is fully indoors, so it's a solid wet-weather option. Its centrepiece is a 250,000-litre ocean tank with an underwater walkthrough tunnel, home to tropical sharks, colourful reef fish and Omiros the rescued loggerhead turtle, plus 40 displays covering everything from local Cornish marine life to tropical species, with regular keeper talks and feeding demonstrations.

Surf lessons for individuals, groups and families.

A local green that overlooks Towan beach and The Island House. Has events on during the summer on the permanent stage with music called the Newquay sessions. As well as food festivals and popup stores on the first weekend of the month during the summer.

Newquay's golf club with views down to Fistral beach and across the Atlantic. A full 18 holes and a club house that's style a bit like a castle.

The harbour has its own beach and is a nice place to relax, watch the boats coming in and out and you may even catch a glimpse of the Newquay seals. Boat rides and cafes are down the hill.

Newquay Zoo is the largest zoo in Cornwall, make sure you visit the otters, the monkeys, lemurs and of course the red pandas.

Pentire Headland is a great lookout point to see across to Fistral Beach as well as down onto Crantock Beach, a nice walk with plenty of seats along the way. A great place to watch the sunset down on the horizon when the sky is clear.

Indoor mini golf with a Piratey theming, as you go round putting read about local myths and legends, great for kids or a rainy day.

A great place to watch seal from, this cliff edge allows you to look down on the secluded cove off the cliff, if you're lucky you will see the seals who regularly use this spot especially during the Spring. Parking for this can be found in West Pentire or at The Bowgie Inn, then it is a walk through the fields.

Surfing and coasteering lessons as well as hire of surf boards and wetsuits, great place to hire from on your surfing days out at Fistral Beach.

RetroBlast Coffee, on East Street in Newquay, pairs a proper coffee shop with a retro arcade and tabletop gaming den. Vintage arcade machines and eighties memorabilia alongside good coffee, iced lattes and milkshakes. It's kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible, and runs weekly tabletop events (Magic: the Gathering, D&D, Warhammer, Pokémon).

A small miniture golf course next door to The Rosa restaurant serving pizza and pasta. Great little golf course for kids and when inside feels hidden and surrounded by a nice garden with plants.

A nice area with green and seating to hang out with views over Fistral Beach from the south end. Go down the steps to the Seaspray cafe or chat with surfers getting ready to shred.

This was a lookout point for a Huer who would direct fishermen to shoals of pilchards. Also good for fans of The Beatles as photos of John Lennon can be found sitting on top if you fancy the climb on top to have a go at recreating the photo.

This is a great walk up a headland, at the top you'll find a small white lookout building, combine with a visit to Little Fistral Beach and also watch the Cribbar, one of the UK's biggest waves also known as The Widowmaker which can get really big when the conditions are right (sea swell, wind and tide)

Trenance GardensTrenance Gardens and Cottages sits in a tranquil, award-winning garden setting just outside Newquay town centre. The trio of Grade II listed cottages, dating to the 1800s, are the only surviving row of pre-railway age dwellings in Cornwall, and house a free heritage museum, gift shop and the Garden Cafe, surrounded by rose bushes and mature trees in a 5-Star Parks Award-winning garden.

Flights are available from here to London Stansted, Manchester, Aberdeen, Isles Of Scilly, as well as further afield to Isle of Man, Dublin, Alicante, Faro and Zürich.

Newquay's main bus station where you can get buses to Truro, St. Austell, Padstow and Redruth.

Newquay Train station has trains to Par where you can change to go further down into Cornwall or back up and through Plymouth and Exeter on Great Western Railways.
